In this session, we will begin to physically locate points by palpation as well as measurement, to learn special functions of clinically valuable points, and to manipulate the needle accurately and effectively.

Point Location, Function, and Interconnections: Location and palpation of points beyond “cun and fen” measurement

Front-Mu and Back Shu Points: Special diagnostic and therapeutic points to influence structure and function of specific organ-bowel systems

Special Function Points: Auto-regulatory points which can influence bone, muscle, circulation, digestion, etc.

Shu- Antique Points: Powerful points which restore homeostasis between the internal and external environment.

12 Principal Channels: Conduits of energy, the energetic scaffolding upon which the structure is organized. A 3-D concept beyond “meridian” lines on a chart.

8 Curious Vessels: Unique reservoirs of energy with specific spheres of influence

Introduction to Needling Techniques: Every student will be supervised in hands on manipulation of needles to achieve maximum effectiveness with minimal discomfort
