In this first module we will introduce the basic foundational concepts of Energetic medicine as explained by Classical Chinese medicine, elaborated and clarified in modern scientific terms and integrated with western biomedical thought:
- Yin/Yang: This is the binary code of life; polarity, and refers to matter & energy.

Ba Gua (Eight Phenomena): This refers to the space in which these phenomena occur, and the behavior of the energy within that space. “Matter tells space how to curve, and space tells matter how to move.”

Jing Luo (Channels and Collaterals not Meridians): We will explore the 3 dimensional energetic scaffolding of the human energetic circulatory system, the physical location of energy flow, and the distribution network for fuel, warmth, immunity, and nourishment.

Orbisiconography (Energetic anatomy and physiology): We will demystify the Zang-Fu (Organ-Bowel) systems and all of their energetically correlated tissues, structures, fluids, functions, senses and emotions.

Liu Qi (Six Energies) and Four Energetic Layers: We will discuss the interrelationships of the “layers” of energetic distribution, and how they function in the delivery of nutrition, and protection from disease.
