Dr Tran viet Dzung:

Dr. Tran Viet Dzung, MD, Internationally known acupuncturist, educator and author, is continuing his mission to bring the “One Medicine” promulgated by Dr Nguyen van Nghi to the world. He is currently the Director of Acupuncture Education of the Faculté de Médecine (Medical School) of the University of Paris, faculty member in charge of acupuncture at the University of Medicine in Nice, France. Since 1973 he has been Associate Chief Editor of the Review of Chinese Traditional Medicine (one of the two premier acupuncture journals in France). He is a founding member of the World Medical Association of Acupuncture, the Association of Eastern Medicine, and the Institut Van Nghi. Other achievements include:  founding member and president of the Association for Eastern Medicine, founder and member of honor of the Association of Physician Acupuncturists of America, and member of honor of the Medical American Academy of Acupuncture.

Dr. Tran is a world-renowned expert on the topic of acupuncture (energetic medicine). One of his greatest strengths in his teachings is transmitting, with passion, the rigorous reasoning inherent in acupuncture, as well as relating the strengths of energetic medicine to those of Western medicine. Originally from Vietnam, Dr. Tran went to France for medical school to become a surgeon. After ten years of practicing medicine as a surgeon in France, he met, by chance, the world renowned acupuncturist/MD, Dr. Nguyen Van Nghi, and for the next 30 plus years joined forces with Van Nghi in translating, clinically testing, and rewriting with commentary the only remaining set of ancient classical medical texts in the world. Together, Drs. Van Nghi and Tran have translated over 10 books in French, including the Ling Shu, Da Cheng, Nan Jing, Nei Jing and others. In addition to his translation efforts, Dr. Tran currently travels around the world transmitting this information to thousands of physicians and acupuncturists in Brazil, Canada, Italy, Germany, Belgium, China, Vietnam and the U.S.

This seminar’s topic will be Neurology; it will include a full discussion of both the biomedical and energetic physiology and pathophysiology of the nervous system. Conditions covered will include Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other common neurological conditions. Morning sessions include lecture and demonstrations of specific points and techniques; afternoon sessions involve clinical demonstrations on live patients.
